Green & Gold Stays

This pair of stays are my first and only (so far) entirely hand sewn corset. She's made out of a beautiful green silk jacquard with autumnal leaves and flowers in shades of gold. Each piece is assembled separately, backstitched by hand and boned with synthetic baleen, then whipstitched together. Delicate bias covers the seams between panels and gold cording decorates the front in a faux-lacing pattern. From start to finish, the patterning and fitting process included, this bad boy took be a whole 8 months to complete.
